After the first design stage, when you have already decided on the place where you plan to install the storage system, you chose its internal content, the design of the doors of the wardrobe compartment begins.

The standard version is blind facades made of chipboard (chipboard), mirror facades, as well as their various combinations. This is the most budget solution, besides allowing to correct the deficiencies of the room - for example, to expand it with mirrors.

In practice, most often in one product several types of facades are connected, obtaining various interior solutions. Combined facades at the closet compartment make it possible to fit it into the premises of any style, and even make it the main decorative element of the interior.

Variants of combining facades of wardrobe doors

By construction, combined facades can be divided into several groups:

  1. Classical. These are solid facades of sheets of chipboard under the tree, as well as mirror facades. They are combined in various combinations.
  2. Geometric. In this case, the facades of the doors of the wardrobe consist of separate rectangles that can be decorated with glass, mirror or chipboard. There are various combinations of finishing materials, it all depends on the idea of ​​the designer.
  3. Diagonal. On the facade have metal profiles that divide it into parts, directed at an angle to each other. As in the geometric version, it is possible to combine a wide variety of materials when finishing the facade.
  4. Sector. Profiles divide the facade into separate cells, each of which is drawn up in accordance with the design sketches.
  5. Wave. Instead of straight profiles, curvilinear profiles are used, which makes it possible to divide the facade with soft, smooth lines. This is the most expensive option to manufacture, since profiles and material for filling them are made individually.


Materials for filling the doors of wardrobes

The design of the doors of the closet is determined not only by what principle of fastening of the finishing material you have chosen, but also by what material will fill the doors.

Chipboard

The most popular option due to low prices. Its main advantages are: durability, mechanical stability, a variety of colors of the plate, easy maintenance and safety in operation. The lack of such facades wardrobe doors only one - a rather modest appearance. Such a cabinet is likely to be invisible in the interior, however, many are achieving just such an effect.

Mirror

Fully mirrored doors will cost more than combined with chipboard. The thickness of the material is 4 mm, a film (amalgam) is applied on the reverse side of the mirror, which protects it from damage.

Lacomat

So called frosted glass, it is matted by etching with hydrofluoric acid. The thickness of this glass is about 4 mm. It creates a translucent effect, while hiding the contents of the cabinet and giving the opportunity to navigate - what is where.

Lakobel

This option is often used in the combined facades of wardrobes. Lakobel - the glass covered on the one hand with a varnish layer, as a rule, color.

Decorative glass or mirror
  • Sandblasting drawings. For facades use frosted glass - using a sandblasting machine, various drawings are applied to it. They can be both ready-made and made to your order.
  • Etched mirror. A matt pattern can additionally be etched on the mirror, such facades can become an original decoration of the interior.

Plastic

The facades of the wardrobe doors made of plastic are quite a budget option, opening up wide possibilities for combining. Plastic can be transparent, opaque or translucent, shiny or matte, and the color can be selected from several dozen different shades.

Bamboo and rattan
  • Bamboo. This is a natural material, suitable for the design of the facades of cabinets in styles such as oriental, ethnic. Bamboo strips are glued onto fabric, which is fixed on panels of chipboard or MDF. These stripes can be of different widths and different shades.
  • Rattan. This is another natural material derived from rattan wood. The core and bark are intertwined in a special way and fixed on the chipboard or MDF panels. Combined facades at the wardrobe, made of natural materials, especially suited to eco-direction in the design.

Decoracryl

An interesting material that combines the advantages of synthetic and natural materials. Between the two panels of acrylic, which can be both completely transparent and frosted, fix natural elements - the leaves of various trees, beautiful herbs, bamboo or coconut fibers, even shells and butterflies.

Artificial leather

The design of the doors of the wardrobe with the use of artificial leather will make the storage system solid, such a wardrobe is especially suitable for a room or library in your apartment. Artificial leather can have different colors and textures, it is fixed on the panels of chipboard or MDF.

Photo printing

On a paper that is glued to the glass on the back side (or on the glass itself), any photo of your choice is applied. Typically, each company has a collection of images for every taste, but you can use your personal photo.
